"We are young --
Wandering the face of the earth
Wondering what our dreams might be worth
Learning that we're only immortal
-- For a limited time."
-- Rush, "Dreamline"
The new millennium is quickly approaching. In the last century, humanity has advanced technologically by leaps and bounds. Are these advances signs that Banality is taking over? Are they harbingers of the much-anticipated Long Winter? Or, are these new ideas proof that humanity hasn't lost the ability to dream? Is there even enough Glamour in the world to spark a new Resurgence? Perhaps to even open the long lost gateways to Arcadia permanently? Find out in A Midsummer Nightmare, the Changeling: the Dreaming chapter in The Jehovah Contract World of Darkness chronicle.
Setting/Plot:
The game is set mostly in the Duchy of Cantabridgia in the Kingdom of Apples (Cambridge, Boston, Somerville, Arlington and surrounding areas). The plot will be largely driven by the PCs, but will revolve around the questions raised above, and will touch on the themes of lost innocence and the ability to dream, and the effort (and sometimes futility) involved in bringing light to a World of Darkness.
Players/Characters:
I'm looking for players with prior roleplaying experience. You don't need to have any experience with Changeling, or the World of Darkness, but some RP experience is needed. The game will have a maximum of five player characters. I'm looking for starting-level characters, with a mix of backgrounds (we'll work together on figuring out how the group comes together). The game will probably be tilted towards the seelie, but unseelie are welcome. Restricted groups: thallain, nunnehi, menehune, autumn people, dauntain. Selkies, Clurichaun, Gille Dhu are not restricted, but had better have damn good concepts. Other than that, go nuts. Changeling is a game where weirdness is the norm, and what seems impossible rarely stays that way for long. Imagination is highly encouraged.
Character slots in the game are full at the moment. However, with summer coming, some players may possibly be leaving the area (and therefore, the game). If you are interested in playing, feel free to email me, and I'll see what I can do. No promises, though.
