User Review: Arai Signet GTMotorcycle & Gear Notes, Reviews, Links and Resources
Arai Signet-GTI purchased Arai Signet GT for the single reason that it fit me best of all the helmets I was looking at. Granted, I had pre-limited my selection to Arai and Shoei helmets -- I only have one head, so it deserves the best I can give it. The Arai's venting is quite good, especially the chin and brow venting. However, air does tend to come through the brow vents in the winter, making for a chilly forehead. I could probably seal them, but haven't tried yet. The tradeoff for summer ventilation is well worth it. The chin spoiler -- a small piece which pulls down about 2cm from the chin -- is also fantastic for reducing cold air over the chin in cold weather. It's a bit prone to fogging in cold weather. Opening the chin vent halfway is also effective while moving, if (again) chilly. At a stop, I had to open the visor. My solution was to apply a $30 anti-fog film to it, which has worked like a charm -- no fogging at a stop or in motion.
